Firm history

Over four decades of legal practice.

Sola Ajijola & Co. was founded in 1979 by the late Chief David Obasola Ajijola, LL.B (London) of the Inner Temple and a Life Bencher of the Nigerian Body of Benchers. With more than forty years of experience, the firm draws on a rich heritage of excellence while working to the highest professional standards.

From its Lagos base, opposite the High Court of Lagos State on Igbosere Road, the practice has grown from general legal work into distinct areas of service. Its public practice areas include family law, estate planning, probate and administration of estate, corporate restructuring, company secretarial services, corporate governance, real estate, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, and litigation.

Our founder

The late Chief David Obasola Ajijola

The firm was founded in 1979 by the late Chief David Obasola Ajijola. Called to the English Bar at the Inner Temple in 1963 and to the Nigerian Bar in 1964, he was a Life Bencher of the Nigerian Body of Benchers and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Bar Association. His standard of professionalism continues to guide the firm.
